STEM
Date: July 11-14, 2016
Grades: Rising 3-9
Location: Belton Elementary School
Facilitator: Tanya Dean
Description: Our kids are the next generation of engineers and problem solvers. Students must now embrace science, technology, engineering, and math to build the STEM skills needed in their future careers. This camp will help ignite their curiosity and get them excited about STEM in their everyday lives. Campers will participate in a variety of hands-on activities that will promote their development of these skills. Students will be presented with real-world problems that require teamwork to solve. Together, students will brainstorm possible solutions which they will later implement and determine effectiveness. Campers will continue to go through this process until they find the best way to solve the problem. On the last day of camp, family and friends will be invited to attend a short showcase where students share their favorite activities/lessons learned throughout the week!
